    Grimm's Threading Game Small Bobbins

This small wooden threading game is a great educational toy that can be used in a variety of ways. Enjoy as a wooden stacking toy by pegging the six mini rainbow coloured bobbins onto the corresponding peg to practise sorting by colour or slot the bobbins onto the wooden needle to create colourful sequences. This versatile toy will hone children's co-ordination, creativity and counting skills. The colours match up with a huge range of rainbow items in the Grimm's Toys range, making this a great set for combining with other toys for colour sorting games. Combine with Grimm's wooden balls, rainbows, building blocks, bowls, buttons and a whole lot more for a huge range of free-play possibilities.

Montessori educators and parents who are looking for simple, natural toys that inspire creative play will love this wooden threading toy.

This wooden toy has been ethically made from sustainable, solid maple and lime wood. The wood has coloured with non-toxic, water-based colour stain which allows the grain of the wood to shine through. The pegging board measures 22.5cm x 4.5cm. Suitable from age 1+.

Schematic play: This toy will appeal to children demonstrating the positioning schema - balancing, sorting and stacking toys and objects in particular order or place.

Sensory toy: hand-eye co-ordination, fine motor skills.

Please note: due to distribution restrictions we cannot send Grimm's toys to addresses outside of the UK and Ireland.

Lovely set

I would highly recommend this set. The colours and size are just perfect. My daughter loves threading the spools on, and telling me what colour each one is, and also colour matching the spools back onto the corresponding peg (she gets very annoyed if you mix them up.) The orange and yellow spools are favourites of hers and they often have to join us for outings haha.

A firm favourite

bought for my 18 month old and he loves them! He enjoys stacking them and shouting timber when he knocks them down, putting them back on the block, rolling them under furniture and so many more things. A really underrated toy.
The string could be a little longer to fit all the bobbins on at once, but I’d still 100% recommend!

A fab multipurpose toy!

I purchased this after asking the Hangout for recommendations. My 15 month old had been playing with beads and string at my parents but it was too much of a choke hazzard. To say these bobbins are small, they are such a good size! Especially for little ones who like to put everything in their mouth. As well as threading, these will also be great for stacking and colour matching. Would absolutely recommend!

Much more than just a threading toy

I’ve been on the fence about this a while for my toddler as didn’t see much longevity on it. Finally decided to buy it last week and he’s been loving it ever since . He’s found it so much easier to do than any other threading toy but he’s also been stacking them , rolling them , colour matching and more. There are so many other possibilities with this toy I didn’t see before and I now wish I had bought it sooner

Grimm's Toys

Featuring toys to shake, build or pull along, Babi Pur’s range of Grimm’s Waldorf-inspired toys has something for every child to fall in love with. The quality of these toys is superb and their appeal is timeless – we’re sure that they will be treasured not only by your children but by your grandchildren too. Grimm’s Toys are inspired by the Waldorf Steiner education movement which advocates learning through thoughtful, creative play at an unhurried pace. Toys play an important part of the learning experience and Waldorf toys are made with natural materials, beautiful and simplistic – the lack of details allow children to fill in the blanks with their imaginations. They can be used in multiple ways in creative play scenarios, rather than being prescriptive. Waldorf toys are wonderfully tactile and call on children to play with them.
