Easter Crafts Egg Dye Kit - Natural Dyes | OkoNorm
Transform eggs into a colourful, edible display with this natural colour dye kit. This set contains five colours - red, yellow, green, orange and pink. Add a colour sachet to water to make enough dye to dye around 5-7 eggs. Using for additional eggs will result in a less intense colour. Due to naturally occurring pigments in the egg shell, eggs may come out in different shades. Once dyed, you will be able to eat these colourful hard-boiled eggs. Dyeing eggs is an ideal craft session for Easter but can be enjoyed year round by young children.
Instructions for use:
- Pour 750ml of cold water into a stainless steel saucepan - don't use enamel pans as they will be stained by the dye. Add one dye sachet.
- Place 5-7 eggs in the saucepan, ensuring they are covered by the water.
- Bring to the boil, stir the dye and allow to boil for 7-10 minutes. Remove the eggs from the pan and set the colour by running under cold water.
- If the dye solution is reused, the effect won't be as strong.
These egg dyes are made with curcumin, chlorophyllin and cochineal natural food colours and rock salt. It is gluten-free.

We had great fun dying our hard boiled eggs for snack time. The children loved helping and observing the process. You need to use white shelled eggs to get the most vibrancy out of the coloured dyes.
I have used this kit two years in a row now and love the results. It only takes 5-10 minutes to dye the eggs and then the possibilities are endless when it comes to what you do with them. I have used them for Easter displays, made them into hanging decorations, and cracked the top off them to hide things inside!
Great for an Easter craft. Nice selection of colours and easy to dye the eggs.
This was a fun thing to do for Easter but on the normal brownish eggs we could get at the supermarket the colours didn't show up well. I like that the eyes were natural and that there are separate sachets so we did a couple if colours each year and still have some left for next time.
Nice natural colours, great fun activity. Also work on wool felt (with a good squeeze of lemon juice to fix)!

Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
