The Tooth Fairy and The Home of the Coin Makers in Partnership with The Royal Mint

As Ollie and Grace both lose their first tooth, Grandpa’s magical stories reveal generations of Coin Makers and Tooth Fairies working secretly together from The Royal Mint, taking them from The Tower Of London, to the land of magic and dragons in Wales. Maybe one day the twins would get to see all the magic for themselves.

Tooth Fairy and the home of the Coinmakers by author Samuel Langley-Swain is a fun fantasy story about that all important moment when teeth start wobbling and come out, combined with factual information about coins and the Royal Mint. Davide Ortu’s lively illustrations ensure that the Tooth Fairy is not a delicate creature, but one full of character and energy. This book brings an age-old tradition to life through charming illustrations and captivating storytelling, an inclusive and modern take on the story for children aged 5 years and above. Designed to be read aloud to encourage and develop reading skills.

Dragons, fairies and gold!

A really lovely rhyming read. This book wasn't quite what I expected but we enjoyed it anyway!

Ollie and Grace lose a tooth each and their Grandpa shows them his coin collection and tells them all about the tooth fairy and the royal mint where the fairies train and coins are made. My youngest daughter asks most days when the tooth fairy will visit as unlike her siblings she's yet to lose a tooth so she loved reading about the tooth fairy and how it all works.

I adore Davide Ortu's art style and I love the way he portrayed the fairies rather than sparkly princess types. The pictures are fun, vibrant and detailed. All in all another fab read.

Magical story

The Tooth Fairy and the Home of the Coin Makers

My five year old loved reading this book. He's waiting for wobbly teeth and reading this made the concept of losing his teeth very exciting. He loved that the story rhymed and before I knew it, the book was whipped out of my hands for him to finish reading to me!

He asked so many questions about tooth fairies, how to get wobbly teeth and what the royal mint was.

I really like the fact you can learn more about the royal mint using the website at the back of the book. We did this to answer my son's questions about the royal mint.

I loved that the story didn't deviate from traditional ideas of the tooth fairies and all the tricks children have tried to get their wobbly teeth to come out.

All in all, a lovely heartwarming tale that all children (and adults) can relate to.

Magical

I brought this book as my daughters' friends started loosing teeth. We all enjoyed the story and it is a bedtime favourite. The tooth fairy is very real in our house and my eldest was so excited when she got her first wobbly tooth that we had to read this story every night for weeks!
