Beans and Tumtum love to have adventures together, tell each other silly stories, and dare each other to get up to mischief - it's up to your child to create their next undertaking. The powerful magnets within each Tegu piece allows this duo to stack together and create one hilarious looking monster, or turn them into funny-looking animals, give them rocket boosters, the possibilities are endless!

As well as finding their antics hilarious, young children will love recalling their escapades, and by doing so will develop crucial story telling skills. The wonderful range of shapes will introduce young children to basic shapes such as cubes, triangles and rectangles, and older children will start to learn about more complex shapes such as parallelograms.

The hair on the horso (that's head and torso), the different tails and the monster legs all combine to provide a wonderful sensory experience for children, as they enjoy discovering the different textures across the 30 pieces.

Sustainability, social change and a love of play are key to Tegu. From hand selecting every single tree with local Honduran cooperatives, where a single tree can create over 1200 sets of blocks, to planting up to 10 trees for each set sold. Tegu only purchases wood from FSC certified companies and uses a water-based lacquer incorporated with colour pigments, so the blocks are all non-toxic. The original Tegu block is 30mmx30mm – the perfect size for little hands, and this forms the basis for every single Tegu block made. Each magnet is specifically position within the block to aid play.
