This Stacking Rocket is a PlanToys classic and a bit different from your usual stacking toy for toddlers. It has four coloured discs that make up the rocket, each with a cut out for a shape to go into, and a cute little astronaut who hides inside. This PlanToys Stacking Rocket has been updated in the new Orchard colours combining bold primary colours with pastel shades to celebrate 40 years of Plan Toys.

Stack all the pieces correctly and get ready for blast off. Each of the wooden pieces is made especially for young astronauts' hands. Learning how to stack the different pieces will help toddlers to develop their co-ordination and motor skills, and this toy will be a fun tool for learning colours and shapes. A great educational toy for early years learning. Ethically made from sustainable PlanWood and using non-toxic water-based dyes, this is a classic eco toy that will look fab in any playroom and makes a great present for toddlers.

Brought this for my 2year old, although I might need another one for my 4year old who. They both love stacking this and flying to the moon. Brilliant gift.

Grows with the child

There's so much this rocket offers! When buying my children gifts. i tend to opt for open ended toys or those with longevity. This doesn't disappoint. The colours are stunning. I love how there's the simplicity of stacking the rocket pieces, but how it can be made more challenging as the child develops. The stacking pieces can be used as an individual piece to help the child learn shapes and colours. But once they've learned that, it isn't finished with, as they then need to learn how to stack them using the correct shapes in the correct place, quite a complex skill! So, all in all. I love this! It's definitely going to be my go to gift for friend and family children! Plan toys have done it again!

My go-to gift for 2 year olds

After this being the biggest ever hit with both of my twins on their second birthday, this has now become my go-to gift. It's harder than it looks as you can only add each layer of the rocket when you fit the correct shape into the centre first, otherwise it just slides off. You also then have to get each layer of the rocket the right way up so the shapes match both underneath and above it. Also, the little astronaut in the top layer is very cute!

Surprise success

I gave this to my two year old on his birthday. He loved taking it apart and getting all the pieces back together It's encouraged him to name the shapes and colours.

Returns
