"Punch down Fold" ou "Shell Fold"

Great moon cup alternative!

I've been a moon cup user for years, but after my second child, (both c section) it started to get a bit tricky to remove, maybe my cervix had lowered?! Anyway, the helpful staff at babipur pointed me towards this one and it's a game changer! I've not even needed to cut the stem, as it's very smooth and soft. Thank you babipur for making my periods so much more bearable!

Very easy to use and surprisingly comfortable despite being a first use. I was expecting some discomfort whilst I got used to a cup but have had no issues with this. Instructions that came with it were very simple and easy to follow too

Yep, put a cup in it ladies

I made the switch away from disposable sanitary products when my daughter was born. I looked at the washable wipes I'd bought for her and thought if I'm doing that I might as well do cloth nappies. I looked at the cloth nappies I'd bought and realised I'd be a hypocrite to use plastic sanitary products for myself. So here I am, with rags down my pants.

Except everything is a lot less medieval than I anticipated. Cloth pads feel... nice. Don't get me wrong, on a scale of things I'd find nice down my pants sanitary products of any sort don't come top of the list, but these beat that disposable rubbish hands down. They're comfy, absorbent, easy to clean (no stains, who'd have thought it?!) much better for my wallet and I don't get crippling cramps anymore.

However, I want to be free to live my life, period or not. So what about swimming, running*, jumping and, well, sleeping without leaving a trail for the bears to find me? I've always been more of a tampon than a pad kinda woman so where does this leave me? Well, I've taken the plunge and bought this Ruby menstrual cup. It's amazeballs. 12 hours use, no toxic shock syndrome, safe to sleep in, no more forgetting to buy tampons and two fingers up to the tampon tax once a month. You don't need to find an excuse to take your bag to the toilets with you and it's once less thing to forget when you're trying to get everyone one out of the house.

I remember when I was a teenager seeing the adverts for Mooncups on the backs of toilet doors and thinking how horrific a dam up your downtown sounded. Thinking it through now though a dam sounds more attractive than a bundle of leaky synthetics up your vajayjay. Also years of cleaning up after my children and two labours have upped my eww-factor.

*sort of, not really though, I'll just put active wear on

Perfect for low cervix

After the birth of my son I found myself unable to use tampons etc and I wanted something to go alongside my csp’s on my heavier days. I have a low cervix and this cup is much comfier than my organicup which can be uncomfy some days. It’s also easy to get in and out even though I have cut the stem off. The Ruby cup doesn’t hold as much as the organicup but as long as I empty it every few hours it’s perfect.

First time user and I love it

I've never used a cup before but took the plunge so I wouldn't have to miss swimming with toddler once a month. I thought it might take a little getting used to with insertion and fitting, but no, absolutely no issues. Super comfy, cannot feel it at all, no issues with it opening and no leaks. I have a low sitting cervix which I thought might cause problems but it didn't. I'm so happy I made the switch. I did need to trim the stem which wasn't an issue at all. The cup is super soft. FYI I've had three kids, 1 c.section and following 2, vbacs.

How to use the Ruby Cup

A Ruby Cup is simply a cup you insert into your vagina during your period to collect menstrual fluid. You can periodically take it out, rinse the cup and use it again. Simple, clean, easy to use and safe. While folded, the menstrual cup is inserted, into the lower vagina but beyond the pubic bone. When released, the cup unfolds and is held in position by a seal formed by the walls of the vagina and pressure from the vaginal muscles. You can try different folding methods and find the best one for you. We have added the most common problems when using different folds in the instructions.
