This Grimm's Building Set 2 contains 46 wooden blocks in rainbow colours for building towers and cities, creating mandalas and patterns, and can also be used in imaginative games as play food or as maths counters too. There's a wide range of shapes from squares to L-shapes, rectangles, arches, semi-circles and triangles - together they can be used to create pretty much anything. The only limit is your child's imagination. Playing with these wooden blocks, lifting and thoughtfully placing each one enables children to develop their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities and spatial understanding. Montessori followers will love how these simple, stylish Grimm's blocks can be used in a myriad of ways for learning through play. Combine with other Grimm's block sets for unlimited possibilities.

These blocks sit in a frame measuring 44.5cm x 44.5cm. The wooden blocks vary in length from 4cm-16cm and are all 4cm thick.

Ethically made from sustainable lime wood, these blocks are stained with non-toxic, water-based colour which allows the grain to show through. The blocks are not varnished, ensuring they will not easily slip off one another when building imaginative constructions.

This block set is suitable from age 3+. WARNING: Not suitable for under 3 years of age due to small parts.

Sensory play: tripod grip, fine motor skills, spatial thinking.

Schematic play: This toy will appeal to children demonstrating the positioning schema - balancing, sorting and stacking toys and objects in a particular order or place.
