Nic Pounding Bench
Pound and bash away at this wooden toy, hammering in the pegs into the top before watching them emerge as if by magic from the side. This wooden toy makes a great first birthday present. I bought this for my daughter when she was just over a year old and it took her a couple of months to work out the logistics and master it ... finding out that the pegs that come out the side are the ones she hammers in . She also works out pretty soon that only one hole is a working hole and the other ones just hold the pegs. I think the non working holes are brilliant for storing the pegs so they don't keep going missing! She plays it often still . By the way there's absolutely no chemical smells whatsoever and the dye colours are very natural and subtle. .. not sure why a previous review said that.
We first saw this when Pete did a demo on the Hangout after the previous 2 star review. I instantly knew it would be loved here. It was a gift for my nearly 2 year old but nearly 5 year old also loves it. First of all there's no smell that we've noticed. The colours are slightly more muted than the pic but that's not a bad thing. There has been quite a bit of colour transfer but not surprising given how much of a literal battering it's got. Youngest will play without the hammer for ages pushing the pieces through. Oldest has made it a challenge to see how far he can shoot bits! A lovely addition to our toy collection.
The bench is well made, however, the one I was sent had a very unpleasant smell, similar to a pesticide. I wasn't comfortable with letting my lo play with it due to the smell. Apart from the main hole, the peg holes at the top are purely aesthetic, you can't pound down the pegs. All-round disappointed. I will be returning.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
