This excellent backpack from Patagonia comes in an earthy Buckhorn Green, with a mossy coloured main body, side panels, lining, and straps, with muted yellow zips, handle, and details on the back. The matching removable padded laptop sleeve inside fits laptops up to 15" and has a secure zippered pocket to hold pens, cords and other desktop items. There is also a hydration hanger with easy pass-through access, and a breathable back panel that accommodates for getting sweaty during hikes, bike rides, and runs, making this Refugio Pack multi-functional in every way.

I love this backpack with one micro reservation

Wonderfully designed, so many sections and pockets - a day out with a seven year old with uncertain weather means carrying emergency cheese sandwiches, coats, and the rest. I still have plenty of room but the compression straps also mean the bag doesn't look too enormous on me at 5'4'. I intend to also use this as my work bag, removing the laptop sleeve or putting it in depending on the day, this was one of the central appeals. I hate switching everything between bags constantly. The only slight dissapointment is the colour of the interior on this, the patterned version. I had assumed, as the pictured laptop sleeve is the sort of petrol blue that accents the exterior of the bag, that this is what the inside of the bag would look like. Unfortunately it is actually a very light green, which is less practical as it will show every scuff, ink stain etc. Over the years. It doesn't matter overly, but in the spirit of constructive feedback...maybe photos of the laptop sleeve in the colourway that comes with the bag would be a good idea in future, along with photos of the interior of the bag. Babipur have a great buying team, never dissapointed at any level and I know I can come here for products that have been expertly selected.

A good size

It's very lightweight for its size. I have a big frugi backpack and this Patagonia one is much lighter. The laptop sleeve is bulky but I like all the zips and compartments in it, I have taken it out because I need more space for massive amounts of stuff I need to carry for a day out with my 4 kids.
It's comfortable on my back even when rammed full. I absolutely love the pattern. The side pockets are stretchy and easily fit KKs in. I'm so glad I took the plunge and bought this bag because it had been in and out of my basket many many times

A great everyday bag!

Bought this in red as a present for my husband after another bag for work had malfunctioned. This is the perfect size for what he has needed and the laptop sleeve is perfect. It is surprisingly large though and has been perfect for short overnight stays. I love the ethics of Patagonia and I’m eyeing up one for myself as it seems like such a comfy and practical bag.

Brilliant Rucksack!

I’ve not had this bag long but it’s already a firm favourite and has been used daily since I received it. I’ve got two children under 3 and this bag is just brilliant for all of our stuff, but also great for work too. I was on the hunt for a bag that was suitable for our outings as well as work as I hate having to swap bags over (Inevitably always forget something!) It has plenty of room without being too bulky. There are three sections, all well sized. It’s also got a really generously sized laptop compartment that’s nicely padded too so no danger of laptop or tablet etc getting damaged. I also really appreciate the zipped mesh section that it has to keep pens or smaller items stashed safely as I find bags sometimes swallow items like this and it’s a pain to hunt around to find them; No chance of that happening with this! The bottle pockets at the sides of the bags are a brilliant size, they easily fitting my 750ml drink bottle in it. As they are stretchy, I’d imagine you’d be able to fit a larger bottle in too.

I’ve found it really comfy to wear and I’m very fussy with bags! The straps are very slightly stiff to start with but soften up quickly and are then very comfortable. It has all the trademarks of Patagonia style and quality and I can see this being used daily for a long time. It’s a bonus that my husband also loved it and has been happy to use it when he has popped out with our kids without me on the odd occasion.

Would definitely recommend without hesitation. Thanks for another brilliant buy, Babipur!

Great rucksack

Love this bag, it’s got plenty of space; I fitted a Patagonia adult Microdini fleece in there with plenty of space left.
The side pockets can take the 32 oz Klean Kanteen (I usually have it in the main body of the bag). The back pocket with laptop/tablet sleeve is really helpful and I like that it is detachable.
My only negative is I don’t find the back particularly breathable, might just be me but I wouldn’t want to do a days walking with it on.

Returns

If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
