    Grimm's Large Coloured Boxes Set

This fabulous set of six wooden rainbow boxes will delight little children and have many uses in the playroom. Toddlers will love to stack these wooden boxes, slot them into one another and hunt for little toys and dolls hidden underneath them. Older children will have great fun incorporating them into sets of building blocks, making a dolls' house with them, and using them in play kitchens as colourful pots and bowls. Use them alongside other Grimm's Toys such as the rainbows, geo blocks or elements pieces to build your own colourful world. This versatile toy will be a hit with Steiner educators who will love that it can be used non-prescriptively and in a myriad of ways. Once outgrown, they will make beautiful storage boxes for little treasures.

This set of stacking boxes is made from plywood and treated with non-toxic, water-based colour stain in a fabulous array of rainbow colours. The largest box is 15cm x 15cm x 15cm.

This toy is suitable from age 1.

Please note: due to distribution restrictions we cannot send Grimm's toys to addresses outside of the UK and Ireland.

Featuring toys to shake, build or pull along, Babi Pur’s range of Grimm’s toys has something for every child to fall in love with. The quality of these toys is superb and their appeal is timeless – we’re sure that they will be treasured not only by your children but by your grandchildren too.

Grimm’s Toys are inspired by the Waldorf Steiner education movement which advocates learning through thoughtful, creative play at an unhurried pace. Toys play an important part of the learning experience and Waldorf toys are made with natural materials, beautiful and simplistic – the lack of details allow children to fill in the blanks with their imaginations. They can be used in multiple ways in creative play scenarios, rather than being prescriptive. Waldorf toys are wonderfully tactile and call on children to play with them.

Grimm’s educational wooden toys are made in Europe from alder, lime, beech and maple, all sourced from sustainably managed European forests. They are made in handpicked workshops across Europe and coated with natural colours and oils by the Grimm’s team in Germany. All of the paints and lacquer used to finish your lovingly made Grimm’s toy are harmless and enhance the natural beauty of the wood, allowing the grain to shine through.

Grimms stacking boxes

One of my favourite items. Makes for great rooms in doll house builds. Stack to make a tall castle or building . Lovely to use in small world play and kids love using this to fill nins. Little animals and treasures and loose parts. Goes well with the building boards the LsP for large builds. Really underrated versatile item

Amazing

I have had this for quite a while without much interest and I was starting to think about selling but the 3 nearly 4 year old just started to play with them and they've become her new favourite toy as she can have them anyway round that she would like!

Great: replaces soo many toys!

Absolutely beautiful: I didn't want to buy anything bulky due to lack of storage in appartment, but we were in need of train shed, couple of garages, farm house and sorting bowls. And mine, we got it all and more in those boxes.
We already had a small rainbow, which works perfectly with it.
It was a bit out of our budget, but taking in consideration how many items it replaces its a bargain.

Great quality as all Grimms. Sturdy, great size.

Brilliant

Got these for my 15 month old. She wasn't all over them at first but I left them out, sometimes arranging them differently on the shelf and she's using them more and more in really imaginative ways. At first I thought maybe she was too young but no, she loves transferring her grapat pieces from box to box and putting her dolls house dolls in their "beds". Furthermore they're gorgeous and look beautiful on the shelf. They're strong, she can stand on them. And they're going to last years I can see, there's so much that these can be and do. Really happy with this purchase!

A firm favourite

I bought these for my 1 year old but my 3 year old loves them just as much as she does. From stacking them, colour sorting and using them as little houses they have been used everyday in so many ways. My littlest loves to climb and sit on them! Definitely one of my best buys and worth the price tag.
