Grimm's Natural House

Build, stack and create with this beautiful natural wooden house set from Grimm's Toys. It comprises 5 little houses cut from a single piece of wood and can be slotted into each other; stacked up high; split and used as fairy doors, dwarf dolls' houses, train set tunnels and animal homes, or used with other wooden blocks. We love that this toy can be used in a wide variety of ways in play - a feature that will appeal to Montessori educators and parents looking for open-ended toys that inspire imaginative play.

This toy house set has been made from solid lime wood and naturally finished with a safe, non-toxic, plant oil-based finish that allows the grain of the wood to shine through. This set is 13cm long and is suitable from 12 months.

Schematic play: This toy will appeal to children demonstrating the positioning schema - balancing, sorting and stacking toys and objects in particular order or place.

Sensory toy: hand-eye co-ordination, fine motor skills.

Great versatile toy!

An excellent versatile toy to add to any scene - we have only been playing with it for a few days but it has already been houses in a village, hidey holes for animals, a stacking toy, and combined with blocks for tower peaks. Also much bigger than I expected!

Beautifully made

My 2 year old played with this for an hour when it arrived. It feels lovely and robust but light too. He loved playing houses with it putting people inside pretending it was on fire and they needed to be rescued etc. It’s used in so many story sacks too whenever we need a house as a prop. Love it!

Stunning open ended toy

This is such an attractive toy. I was tempted by the coloured versions but the natural wood grain is stunning. The possibilities of play are endless and it is definitely not just a house! Recently it has been used as fences for our farm, tunnels for the wooden train track and stacking high with our rainbow. Very sturdy and robust too, perfect for little and not so little hands.

So many possibilities

Beautifully made, and a good size for baby/toddler. Not played with daily by my 2 year old but when it is rediscovered, it is used for so many things from stacking to imaginative play. Looking forward to seeing what else it will become over the years. The natural colour is lovely to look at.

Excellent All-Rounder

This stacking house is so lovely! This is such a versatile toy. I bought it for a Squash and a Squeeze Storysack but I didn’t envisage how it would be played with. It’s great fun for stacking but most of all it is perfect for open ended play. It can be: houses, garages, stables, train stations, tunnels, bus stops, caves the list goes on. If you are looking for a toy with longevity this is it! I would also argue that at £22.96 it is excellent value as there is so much potential
play to be had involving it. It is sturdy and I imagine will last for years.

We have a bright rainbow but the beauty of the grain on the houses makes me want to buy a natural tunnel.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.

Returns

If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
