No Home For A Ghost by Jess Rose

Written and illustrated by Jess Rose, 'No Home For A Ghost' is a children's story book about Dylan and his family moving into their new house. All seems normal until Dylan discovers that this house has something different about it: this house has a ghost!

Scared of ghostly Giles flying through doors, moving objects and playing his music throughout the night, the family decides that the ghost has to go. While everyone enjoys the fright-free days, Dylan is sad that his new friend was forced to leave his home.

With Halloween fast approaching, can Dylan find Giles and help his family fix their mistake?

This book is a brilliant short story for little readers and features beautiful, vibrant images that bring the story to life. Enjoy this ghoulish tale as a bedtime story or as a fun story sack for Halloween.

A wonder Friendly ghostie story

We all absolutely loved this book. Perfect for the up and coming spooky season and beyond.

'No Home for a Ghost' is a lovely ustory about kindness, friendship, reflection, and empathy. Sometimes we can be too hasty in our decision making and on reflection we don’t always make the best decisions and these can sometimes be resolved for the better and we can make things right again.

It encouraged lots of interesting discussions about right and wrongs; and how we can make things better again.

This is going to be a favourite in our book shelf ☺️

Perfect, not scary but Spooky enough, story for halloween

I love love love Owlet Press. I'm not sure if I could pick my favourite story published by them, but NO HOME FOR A GHOST is definitely in my top three! It is such a beautiful story about a family who move into a new house with a resistant ghost. They don't like it's mischievous ways or noises during the night, so they make it leave. The little boy feels sad without the ghost around. He realises they made a mistake making him leave, as it was the ghosts home first. I love the message in this children's book that if a mistake is made it's never to late to realise and try to fix it. It really is a perfect, not scary but spooky enough, story for Halloween full of empathy and an unlikely friendship.

A beautiful story, with an lovely message... Plus a little spooky

A beautiful heartwarming story about a ghost and a little person who found their voice to stand up for what they believed to be right.

This gorgeous book with a Halloween feel is just lovely. The illustrations are beautiful and my 4 year old really loved them, asking many questions and pointing out all the details.

We talked about how people can try to do things for what they think are the right reasons, but that we aren't perfect, we sometimes get things wrong and it's important to speak out when you see someone doing something you think might be wrong or causing someone to hurt.

I feel this will become a firm favourite in our house.

Much loved story

No Home For a Ghost has quickly become one of our favourite stories. My four year old loves it! Beautiful illustrations and an important message of acceptance, empathy, and the importance of righting previous wrongs. Giles is a friendly mischievous ghost that we’d all love to have living with us! Great story for Halloween and beyond, highly recommended!

A really lovely story

A beautifully illustrated gentle tale about empathy, belonging and kindness.

Perfect for anytime for the year but especially October time when children might be getting nervous or scared about Halloween. Giles is a friendly ghost and this story has no scares at all.

A great lesson about righting wrongs, standing up for whats right and being brave enough to admit to mistakes
