    Robo-Babies By Laura Gallagher

The next time you look up the night sky, if you stare really hard; you might be lucky enough to see the sparkling metal planet with all its robots and all their robo-babies.

This is a story about the many ways in which babies arrive into their families, including IVF, donor conception, surrogacy and adoption. Robo-babies is a magical story that explains in simple terms the different ways in which babies arrive into the world. Fantastic for showing different family setups

As an IVF family I can't thank you enough for this book - it's so brilliant to have a way that we can talk to our children about the different ways in which babies come into the world in a completely accessible and age appropriate way, in the packaging of a lovely bright story book. I really think being able to read books such as this to them when they are young will help them to understand their own story better in the future.

Wonderful introduction to the different ways babies come about

A wonderful introduction to all the different family units and how those families come together. Sparked a very in-depth conversation about how different families are formed and those that help them to do so with my eldest (7yo) after reading and going on to further research (home ed!). My 4yo really engaged with all the different robots and their babies, having just had another addition to our family she has become rather interested with how babies come about and I’m sure we will be having the same in-depth discussion in a few years time. In the mean time this a a great level to keep her interest. The illustrations are lovely and overall we all loved the book and can see many re-readings in the future.

Just lovely

A nice gentle story explaining different family dynamics and how no matter where a baby may come from, they're always loved.

This book was a lovely little read and introduced topics I haven't talked about with my children yet so it was a nice way to discuss that not every baby is born to the usually depicted cookie cutter family.

My 8 year old said ' I really liked this book, it's nice because it has lots of love in it and that makes me happy'

A beautiful celebration about how families are made!

This book made me feel a little emotional when reading it. It’s a really lovely way to introduce some of the many different ways in which babies come to join families. It’s presented in a simplistic way with lovely, fun and vibrant illustrations. It’s great to find wonderful resources such as this, that can serve as a foundation for conversations about emotive topics such as IVF, surrogacy and adoption. A sensitive subject presented in a unique way. Love it!

A wonderful way of explaining different family dynamics

I have a four year old boy who really likes the robot illustrations throughout. However the story didn’t really engage him but I genuinely think that he may just be a tad too young and was perhaps expecting some space adventures!

This is definitely a book we’ll explore again as it explains different family dynamics in a simple and understandable way for children. I personally thought it was wonderful and would make for a great teaching tool to educate primary school age children at home and in the classroom.

I would highly recommend for children aged 5+ and look forward to exploring this again with my little one
