Made from natural sustainably certified alder wood with an oiled finish, each wooden block has a beautiful and unique grain. I managed to convince my husband of the worth of the LSP and I’m so glad we were able to get it for Christmas, as a shared present. Just into March now and it is used almost daily by both children, after school and nursery. Both children (nearly 10 and just turned 3) love it! They play with it separately in different ways, and the older one leads the play narrative when they play together. They build palaces, bridges, houses, animal flat lays, enclosures and all sorts! I love it combined with other sets like the rainbow and polar lights.
I spent ages deliberating over whether to get the natural or rainbow LSP and eventually decided on the natural one. I tried to surreptitiously ask my eldest’s opinion; he said it would be better if the LSP was natural as then the coloured sets we have would embellish designs and he said he’d find it frustrating if he ran out of a colour during a build. So the natural one it was! (Although I still think I’d quite like a rainbow one as well 😬)
The quality and size are fantastic and it still smells amazing! Even the smallest blocks are chunky for my little one and she can easily stack them.

We now have the rainbow and the natural set! Everyone (including me and my husband) love this toy.
So this is a very expensive toy! But it’s so worth it in my opinion. I ummed and ahhed over this for ages but the quality is just perfect. I love the natural wood, the smell is therapeutic in itself. I would say this is our best Babipur toy yet (apart from the tractor but they’re not directly comparable!)

I spent a long time wondering whether to buy the Large Stepped Pyramid or not. My children are 3 and 5 and it is my 5 year old who is the real 'builder', so I wasn't sure if we'd missed the window. How wrong I was! The pyramid has enabled her to take her constructions to a new level, and not just in terms of height - although we managed to create a tower taller than me using these blocks!
For us, the simplicity of the blocks in the Large Stepped Pyramid lends them so well to open-ended play. It's been so fascinating watching my eldest figure out how to create increasingly complex structures using only square and rectangular blocks.
If by this point you are convinced by the idea of the pyramid, you might be struggling to choose between the natural and the rainbow pyramid. We already have the 36 rainbow cubes and a Romanesque set, but I had noticed that my daughter was becoming frustrated by not being able to create visually symmetrical structures when she couldn't find enough pieces of the same colour. I think the natural blocks enable her to design more freely and then add splashes of colour using our other blocks. The natural grain is also beautiful. Finally (and this may sound a bit odd!) I love the way the oiled natural wood smells.

We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
