    Bajo Wooden Rainbow Stacking Blocks

The Bajo Rainbow Blocks are a set of 21 curved wooden blocks making up a rainbow puzzle. Made up of 6 concentric arches of increasing radius in the colours of the rainbow, with each arch split into an increasing number of segments.

This elegant set of blocks is great for exploring geometry and maths as well as more physical structures such as bridges and arches. Children will love this open-ended toy to build pyramids, walls and linear patterns, and stacking them in perfect radial order to build a rainbow. With so many possibilities for learning through play, the Bajo Rainbow Blocks are a great play resource for home educators and early years settings. Made from sustainable European sycamore and painted with certified non-toxic water based paints. A beautifully made set of blocks, durable and robust design that will last, and be enjoyed by siblings and future generations.

Wooden blocks are a traditional toy for babies and toddlers, encouraging fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

    Suitable from 18 months.

    This toy measures 30cm x 15cm x 2.5cm.

Sensory toy - Touch: clutching and grasping, textures, fine motor skills, tripod grip. Visual: colours, pattern recognition.

Schematic play: This toy will appeal to children demonstrating the positioning schema.

The manufacturing process is green from start to finish - sustainable wood from beech, birch, sycamore, acacia, cherry, walnut and plum trees is sourced from carefully managed forests in Poland. Skilled crafters transform the wood into toys that are treated with eco, non-toxic paints and oils, and waste wood is turned into fuel briquettes. Bajo toys are great for open-ended play and will be treasured by children for years before being passed on to new generations to be enjoyed all over again.

Lovely and has seen some play, but a bit slippy and quite expensive at full price

I bought these blocks when they were reduced during a sale. I have to admit I would probably have been a bit disappointed had I purchased them at full price. It is quite a wee rainbow and, at least for my five year old, stacking them as a rainbow is a bit tricky as the pieces are so small and the paint means they are a bit more slippery than (for example) Grimms blocks.

So I think I'd say, be aware this is a small toy, for intricate play, and maybe consider a Grimm's stacking rainbow if you have a younger child or want something larger.

Adorable gift

Bought for my nephew. He loves them and when they arrived I nearly ended up keeping! Very pretty set of blocks

A lovely present for all ages!

I'm bought this for my 1 year old using money he was given for Christmas. I thought it would be something we put away until he is a bit older but he already loves playing with it, stacking and posting the blocks. Whilst I am a big fan of the stacking rainbows, I think this has even more flexibility and play options for younger children and adults alike. I love all the different shapes and patterns you can create. This is definitely a hidden gem!

Loved by my 5 year old!

We bought this as a present for my 5 year old and he loves it! He enjoys putting them in the right order to make the rainbow, creating a spiral with them and stacking them! Great for colour matching activities too. It's great how the blocks can stack on each other so that the rainbow is standing up as well!

A Brief Bajo Story

A Brief Bajo Story

Established in the tiny village of Kamionna in Poland, at the foot of the mountain bearing the same name, Bajo were making toys at the break of the '90s when the free market was virtually non-existent in Poland. Bajo produce toys that can be made without the need for specialised skills, in order to employ elderly and disabled individuals, as well as people who find it difficult to compete for work. The toys they make carry notion of solidarity in themselves. In the design process they always focus on the possibilities of reaching out to new people.
