    Grimm's Counter-Rotating Stepped Spiral

Build your own spiral staircases and curved, stepped buildings with this incredible stair block set from Grimm's. Assemble the 30cm tower to make two intertwined stairs with the 56 pieces, there are colour coded sections to make building the puzzle easier but you can happily mix them up too. Combine with other play blocks and toys to make steps that spiral around towers and cityscapes, or your own beautifully curved structures. Mix with Grimm's building blocks - such as the Geo Blocks or 1001 Nights - for a fantasy rainbow-coloured, interconnected world that can be traversed at will.

Made from sustainable lime wood, the blocks have been stained with water-based colour, allowing the natural grain of the wood to shine through and ensuring that they are safe for young children. As the blocks are not varnished, they will not slip easily when used to build imaginative constructions.

All the pieces can be used to assemble a spiralling tower that's 30cm tall and 30cm across. The blocks are 4cm thick and up to 15cm in length. Not suitable for under 3 years

Please note: due to distribution restrictions we cannot send Grimm's toys to addresses outside of the UK and Ireland.

Featuring toys to shake, build or pull along, Babi Pur’s range of Grimm’s toys has something for every child to fall in love with. The quality of these toys is superb and their appeal is timeless – we’re sure that they will be treasured not only by your children but by your grandchildren too.

Grimm’s Toys are inspired by the Waldorf Steiner education movement which advocates learning through thoughtful, creative play at an unhurried pace. Toys play an important part of the learning experience and Waldorf toys are made with natural materials, beautiful and simplistic – the lack of details allow children to fill in the blanks with their imaginations. They can be used in multiple ways in creative play scenarios, rather than being prescriptive. Waldorf-inspired toys are wonderfully tactile and call on children to play with them.

Grimm’s educational wooden toys are made in Europe from alder, lime, beech and maple, all sourced from sustainably managed European forests. They are made in handpicked workshops across Europe and coated with natural colours and oils by the Grimm’s team in Germany. All of the paints and lacquer used to finish your lovingly made Grimm’s toy are harmless and enhance the natural beauty of the wood, allowing the grain to shine through.

Beautiful counter rotating spiral

We bought this as a first big grimms blocks item. Not the usual choice fof a first set of blocks, however my 2 year old absolutely loves it. He stacks it, rearranges all the pieces, balances the pieces on top of each other, uses it for ball runs and enjoys using the pieces as stairs for his grimms friends and other characters. I also enjoy stacking it all back up. It looks absolutely beautiful when on display and it's uniqueness creates a talking point which is a lovely bonus.

Grimms counter rotating spiral

This is a beautiful beautiful set . Looks great when displayed , is a joy as well a puzzle to put away. Amazing to make magical stairways for fairy / castle / palace / doll
House builds. The non stair pieces make wonderful blocks for round buildings and winding roads . You can turn the stairs the other way round to be able to use as a slide for ball runs. We’re constantly exploring ways to use this better as the kids grow.

Game changer!

A must for every castle build! We simply love the stairs from this set. My daughter loves building castles for her grapat people and I found the stairs really add that little extra to her builds! It’s a fun puzzle trying to put it all together after play too haha

So many play options!

This was the kids Christmas present and is a stunning piece and great addition to other Grimm's sets. To begin with the kids were happy just deconstructing and reconstructing the set like a puzzle. It makes a fab staircase to add to small world play set-ups and is also great for creating animals with. Mostly recently we used it for creating the shell part an ammonite in some under the sea play.

Beautiful

I’ve been wanting to buy this for so long. It is beautiful. It was a pain to get my head around how to build it out the box. But once I’ve sussed that out it looks stunning in our playroom.
