Klean Kanteen 20oz TKWide Twist Cap

After researching endlessly (for years!), I can only recommend Klean kanteen for reusable drink containers. Although quite expensive, they really are well worth every penny - especially in the Babipur sale, which was the very best price I could find anywhere. They last (in very good nick) for years. We are upgrading our previous Klean Kanteen insulated bottles (with narrow bottle neck and sports-style cap), that we’ve had for 4-odd years, and are still perfectly usable, and hardly look very used (beyond a few minor dings on the base after a good number of very hard impacts!), even after being used by children for all this time!
They are stainless steel (so non-toxic) and possible to clean perfectly so will not impart any residual flavour into future refills.
They are amazing at insulating both hot or cold liquids. I discover that I need to make my homemade coffee a ‘drinkable’ temperature before putting the lid on, in order to be able to drink it at some point in the next few hours!!
I love the choice of lids. We have the twist cap and also bought separate cafe lids for us adults (I’ve wanted a decent insulated coffee cup for years), and am delighted with this as the cafe lid enables easy opening, closing and drinking, without any issues of leakage. Equally, we can interchange the lids, and enjoy ice-cold water with easy drinking through the twist cap straw (which tucks away neatly and cleanly), with just a wash after using it for coffee.
These fit in our car cup holders! They (are a bit of a tighter squeeze in the back cup holders of our car (that the children use).
They are on the heavy side, but the benefit in hygiene/cleanliness, insulation and durability outweighs any significant issues with this.
There is a very sturdy hinged carry loop on the twist cap lids, which we attach child name tags onto (on our 16oz bottles), and can be used to carry the bottle securely.
The bottles are a bit bigger than anticipated, but this is mostly due to the space taken up for insulation (well worth it).
The colours we picked (pale blue, black and yellow) are well loved by the children using the 16oz bottles (as well as by adults using the 20oz bottles). It would be nice to have a few more colour choices, and perhaps some more appealing child designs (few fit our British children’s tastes very much, for the size of bottle we wanted, i.e. holding enough water to last a day at school for example).
Our children chose to decorate theirs with stickers, so the plain colour did offer an opportunity for some creativity!

These bottles are great. You have to buy one to know how good to drink from they are. They feel good to hold, and the water tastes so good from them as it’s keeps it nice and cold. I do keep it upright as it’s not always 100% leakproof. It comes apart easily for cleaning too, a really good design.

I’ve purchased these bottles for both kids and they love them! We have few Klean Kanteen bottles at home and they are all perfect quality! These new caps with straws are amazing for kids. Delivery was quick, happy with my purchase 🙂

Everyone in our household has one, it's fussy to clean but you can really get into all the nooks when the parts come apart. Keeps water cold during the summer and very handy and robust.

Love this bottle and it's great at keeping things warm or cold. So easy to clean. Only complaint it needs to stay upright or it leaks!
