    Lunette Menstrual Cups

Lunette menstrual cups are a safe, eco-friendly and great value alternative to tampons. Soft, flexible and easy to use, Lunette cups are ideal for teenagers and people of all shapes and sizes and come in a range of colours too. Lunette cups are made from medical grade silcone and are BPA and latex-free. They have a secure lip, suction holes and a ridged stem at the bottom for easy removal. They come in two sizes to ensure a perfect fit and leak-free period and come with a handy storage bag.

Size 1: This smaller cup is made from super-soft silicone and is suitable for teenagers who have not had intercourse and have a light to moderate flow. This cup measures 41mm in diameter and the cup, not including the stem, is 47mm tall. The stem is 25mm long and the cup volume is 25ml.

Size 2: This larger cup is made from silicone that is slightly firmer but still comfortable for use during your period. It is suitable for people who have had intercourse or given birth vaginally or who experience a heavier flow. This cup measures 46mm in diameter and the cup, not including the stem, is 52mm tall. The stem is 20mm long and the cup volume is 30ml.

You can wear a Lunette menstrual cup for up to 12 hours, including overnight. It's perfect and comfortable during sports, swimming, cycling or any other activities. You can't feel it at all once inserted. No leaks, no wings, strings, no tampons, just freedom. Rinse out each time you empty your Lunette cup and clean thoroughly at the start and end of your period.

What is a Lunette menstrual cup?

A Lunette cup is simply a cup you insert into your vagina during your period to collect menstrual fluid. You can periodically take it out, rinse the cup and use it again. Simple, clean, easy to use and safe. There are no links with silicone cups and toxic syndrome, cups don't affect vaginal moisture and don't contain unwanted chemicals. They're made in Finland from medical grade silicone.

How to use and fold the Lunette cup

While folded, the menstrual cup is inserted, into the lower vagina but beyond the pubic bone. When released, the cup unfolds and is held in position by a seal formed by the walls of the vagina and pressure from the vaginal muscles. You can try different folding methods and find the best one for you. We have added the most common problems when using different folds in the instructions.

    "C-fold" or "Heart fold"

"C-fold" or "Heart fold" is the basic fold that most use. Sometimes it might be too wide and cup not easy to pop open.

"Punch down fold" or "Shell fold"

"Punch down fold" or "Shell fold" is the folding method that most younger people use. The cup is smaller to insert but depending on unique anatomy this fold might be difficult to get open.

    "7 fold" or "Triangle fold"

"7 fold" or "Triangle fold" is a nice fold if you have problems to get the cup in. There also might be problems to get the cup open correctly with this fold.

So glad I made the switch!

I got this quite some time ago but wanted to really use it for a while before leaving a review so I could give a true honest review.
I have been considering switching to reusable products for some time and this was the first switch I wanted to make but I was apprehensive. I found the babipur hangout group very useful for advice and the product reviews helped me to choose this one.
Initially I did find it strange and it took a lite bit of getting used to to make sure it was in correctly land no leaking but with a little persistence it definitely paid off.
After a few months of use I have rarely experienced issues any longer (unless I'm trying to rush before the small people barge in) and I would go as far as to say my periods feel slightly shorter and less heavy which I was a bit doubtful about when I'd heard others say this but I genuinely do feel it's affected them making the switch from disposables!

possibly the best cup out there!

Very comfortable, slim, don't notice it's there. Never had leaks. Fun variety of colors. Happy menstrual cup user here since 2008 :)

Dont fear, just do it

I have always been squeamish when it comes to my periods. As a teenager i always used sanitary towels, then moved onto tampons in my 20"s. I never liked the thought of a cup but after reading these take 500 years to biodegrade enough was enough.
I was slightly worried when it first turned up - it was bigger than i first thought but I just went with it.
So easy to clean and use, I really should have done it sooner.
Great purchase xx
