A great sized eco-friendly rucksack for your young person. Tech-friendly, adventure-ready and hardwearing, this Patagonia kid's day pack is perfect for the next generation to get out and make an impact.

The Patagonia Kid’s Refugito Day Pack 18L in Stormy Mauve is a stylish kids' rucksack made from a variety of eco-friendly materials including 100% postconsumer recycled polyester for the body and 100% recycled polyester for the lining. It has a muted mauve and deep dark pink block colour design, light grey webbing and muted mauve stretchy side pockets. This eco kids rucksack has a shorter back panel, shoulder straps and a narrower cut, making it super comfy on your little ones so they can get on with exploring in style and comfort with their well-fitting backpack. It has padded shoulder straps and a padded back panel making it great for carrying books or lots of kit, with easy-to-use chunky buckles and drawstrings and it even has a sternum strap to stop it slipping off shoulders when out exploring.

This great kids' backpack even has a padded internal sleeve, perfectly sized to carry laptops up to 15” or a hydration reservoir, stretchy side panel pockets, great for pairing up with other eco friendly items from Babipur, like a kids Klean Kanteen reusable bottle, and a zip closure top pocket, great for those little items they won’t want to lose.

    Really very pricey but.....

This rucksack is ridiculously expensive, however, it's the perfect size for my 6 year old, it's very well designed - the pockets and storage are perfect, the weight distribution is good and the straps support my child's back in the right places. It's a nice design and at the end of the day I will pay more for a company like Patagonia that is taking impressive action to reduce its environmental impact. The only downside of the rucksack is that it is not waterproof or shower proof. I'd still recommend it and buy it again. I've looked everywhere and the other child rucksack equivalents are either that little bit too small, badly designed or use cheap materials that damage our planet.

    Great bag for kids

My 12 year old has a different colour-way of this bag and it is so good that we decided to buy our 7 year old one too. It's big enough to take homework, lunch and snacks. The outside pockets will take our Klean Kanteens and the straps hold a jumper. Great for day trips or for packing light for an overnight trip. Expensive but worth it!

    Fantastic work bag

Just in case, like me, you suffer huge work bag indecision I have found this one great option. I’m a short 5’2 and find the backpack plenty supportive enough - often walking 30/40 mins to work with it on my back.
It comfortably fits work laptop and charger, book, jumper, frugi pack a snack lunch bag, crochet yarn and thermos cup. With space on the side for a water bottle.
I love that you can zip valuables like keys and wallet into the top inside pouch but they are less easy for pickpockets etc.
A really great and versatile day backpack!

    Great for school

Got this for our 8 year old for school. Were looking for something less structured but not entirely unstructured. Also looking for something with a nice wide opening for easy packing. The previous bag had been a Frugi backpack and it had served us well. Enter the refugito. Seen, carted, and checked out in a jiffy. Ticks all the boxes and looks "cool enough for school". It is pricey, but we find our money is well spent with Patagonia.

    Great for tweens

I was looking for an out and about bag for my tall 11 year old. The Frugi Adventurers backpacks have served us well until now but we needed something a bit bigger and more neutral. The brief was that it had to comfortably hold two Klean Kanteens; it had to be wearable by an adult; it had to last and it had to look 'cool'. This design of bag fits the bill perfectly. There is plenty of space in the bag; Klean Kanteens fit well in the pockets (including the TKWide ones) and the straps at the front allow a jumper or light coat to be fixed to the outside when we are out on our bikes. At 5'9'', I can also wear the bag comfortably with plenty of room for adjustment too. This was our first Patagonia purchase but it won't be our last. And yes, the bag is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Recommended.

    Patagonia

We're proud to be stocking Patagonia at Babipur, the pioneers of responsible business practices! Patagonia were one of the earliest adopters of organic cotton, recognising the damage that pesticides had on the earth and making the switch all the way back in 1994. A core value is to make the very best quality product because better products last longer, and the longer products last the less that have to be made. Materials and manufacturing are carefully considered to ensure minimal impact from creation through to disposal.

    Changing the Industry

    Changing the Industry

Patagonia's continued efforts to reduce and even reverse the impacts of commercial activities is awe-inspiring. Investment in environmental causes and activism, sourcing of reused, recycled and low impact materials, fair trade certifications and initiatives to help other companies achieve higher sustainability levels, Patagonia lead the way. Not satisfied with pushing for change within their own industry Patagonia have begun a food division looking to change farming practices for the better too. Now a global brand using their increased influence for the greater good and still independently owned.
